Biography
Mélanie Saumure (b.1977) is an emerging documentary filmmaker and a photographer from Montreal. In 2007, she completed with honors a BFA with a Specialization in Film Studies at Concordia University. Her first short documentary, Underdog, shot on 16mm, has been screened in several major films festivals in Montreal. She is currently living in Toronto where she is working as a director of photography and an editor on various documentary films. She is a 2009 Master’s candidate at Ryerson University in Documentary Media.
